Summer is here, which means we as parents need to come up with ways to entertain our kids. I know it can be challenging. I try doing something creative with my kids everyday. My kids love creating things with play dough or modeling clay, and I know Bella often tries to sneak a taste of it. That must not taste good! That is why I am so excited about the company I found called Yummy Dough-it is play dough and edible dough all in one!
We received our Yummy Dough in the mail, and my kids were so excited to try it out. Within minutes if receiving it, we were opening the individual powder, mixing the water and kneading the dough. The kids had so much fun creating bugs, snakes and butterflies. They couldn't wait the twenty minutes of cooking so they could eat their creations! My kids were a little disappointed though that their creations didn't quite look like the ones on the box, but mine didn't either:).
The only downside I found, is that once you started making the Yummy Dough, you have to use it all immediately because it doesn't store.
Yummy Dough is perfect not only at play time and snack time, but would be great for any party that you are having. It is perfect for kids, but us adults as well!

Buy it: Buy Yummy Dough on Amazon.com for $11.99
Win It: One lucky winner will win their own box of Yummy Dough!

We love to paint... paper, rocks, plates. Fingerpainting or using a brush. It is always fun.
Well, my kiddo is a newborn, so boredom only requires breastfeeding, but this is an awesome looking product, and I would lvoe to share it with my nieces!
Coloring and puzzles is what works with my boys! This looks really fun.
My girls and I love to bake together.... especially sugar cookies. They get to put the icing on them anyway they like!

We spend most of our summer out in the backyard. Digging, running through sprinklers, painting, anything else messy-outside!

My kids are pretty young (2 and 3 months) but when my toddler becomes bored, sidewalk chalk or looking for snails cures her boredom!

The cure for boredom is threatening to give them some chores to do. You'd be amazed how quickly they start amusing themselves.

Swinging on the swings and sliding on the slide have been boredom cures for my kids lately. Letting them play with their toys in the sink when it's rainy does the trick too!

Also, I am a follower. :D
Whenever I have complaints of boredom with the kids I nanny, we either take a walk to the local library or we do story starters (where I begin a story with one sentence, then they add a sentence, then it comes back to me for a third sentence and we go back and forth until we have a story!). And all stories need illustrations, so that's an additional boredom cure! :D
