Grape Salad

I think I have grown up with the best family. Not only do I have the best immediate family, but I am so lucky to have the greatest extended family as well. I am the oldest granddaughter...which has had its advantages and disadvantages. One advantage is learning to cook from all my amazing aunts. This recipe comes from my Aunt Shauna...though it is actually my Aunt Julie that made this for our Pioneer Day celebration!
I know what you are all saying, why ruin a perfectly healthy fruit by putting all the added sugar and calories...but sometimes you have to live a little! If you do want it a little bit healthier, use low fat cream cheese and cool whip!  Enjoy!

1 pound red grapes
1 pound green grapes
1 8 ounce package of cream cheese, softened
1 cup powdered sugar
1 8 ounce container of cool whip
1 teaspoon vanilla
3/4 cup chopped pecans

Wash and dry grapes. Combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla and cool whip. Mix together with grapes. Refrigerate until ready to serve. Top with nuts and enjoy!
