Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Truffles and DownEast Home

If you live in Utah, chances are you have been DownEast Home. DownEast has THE best selection of furniture and home accessories. From bedroom furniture to kitchen furniture they can have something for every room. The accessories they have are absolutely amazing as well. There are so many picture frames, vases, table settings, really anything you need you can find at DownEast Home. With the holidays coming up, now is the time to spice up your home.

DownEast Home buys name brand items and marks them down at least half price! Seriously, they are SO affordable!   They have a great selection and the staff their will be happy to help you pull together a look for your home! DownEast is a one stop shop as well. They have super cute clothes, and will start selling really great toys for your kids this holiday season!
We were lucky enough to be invited to help cater the first blogger event with DownEast Home. We made Fried Ravioli , Crostini,  Red Velvet Truffles, and Cookie Dough Truffles. The food was great, the company was fabulous (we got to finally meet Carrian from Sweet Basil and Lisa from Gourmified (my good blogging friends)), and we got to learn more about DownEast Home. It was a perfect night. What made it so great?!? I WON a super cute yellow rocker! I was SOOOO excited!

I found the recipe for Cookie Dough Truffles from The Idea Room (which she got from Lisa's Recipe Cards). WOW! These were AMAZING. The cookie dough would be perfect to make into little tiny pieces and frozen for cookie dough ice cream. Or if you just like to eat cookie dough by itself, it is really so darn good. I promise you will want to make these for your next party!

Ingredients:
1 cup butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 small box vanilla instant pudding
1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups flour
Mini Chocolate Chips

Cream together butter and brown sugar. Then add vanilla pudding. Mix well. Stir in milk and vanilla. Then slowly add baking soda and flour. Finally add chocolate chips. Use a cookie scoop to make balls, or roll with your hands (just smaller than a golf ball). Put in refridgerater until ready to make into cookie dough truffles.

For the truffles you will need:
1 package of chocolate bark
1 package of white chocolate bark (you will only use two squares of this though)
Melt chocolate bark in microwave, four squares at a time (it hardens quickly so as you need more chocoloate melt more). Dip balls into chocolate. Bottom first. Let rest on wax paper. Once dry, dip the top. When all dry, melt two squares of white chocolate. Drizzle over cookie dough balls. Enjoy!!!

I love truffles. I use vanilla pudding in all kinds of recipes. It works great.

Oh I have to say Lindsay, we LOVED every piece you brought! YUM-0! I didn't even know those little gems were fried ravioli. AND the Crostini...to die for! I'm a sucker for fresh basil, though. You'd think I'd be able to grow it in my garden...Sheesh, NOOO! Every stinkin' year I try and fail miserably. Sucks. It was so much fun meeting you and Brooks and overall just playing and hanging out! GREAT event!
