Peppermint Trifle

I love brownie trifles...they are so good! Not to mention, they are super easy, but they taste and look like they should be a little more complicated.

1 9x13 pan of Brownies-from a box or homemade
1 large box of Chocolate Pudding-make as directed on the box
1 small container Cool Whip
2 boxes of peppermint Candy Canes-crushed

I made the pudding as directed on the box first and put it in the fridge to set up. Then I made brownies. Let them cool completely before assembling your trifle. Crush your candy canes finely (I used a food processor). Mix the candy canes into your cool whip. Then start the layering process. Cut your brownies into squares. Then layer half of the brownies on the bottom of the trifle. Then add half of the pudding, then half of the cool whip. Then repeat. We added a little bit more crushed candy canes for decoration, and also added a little bit of Redi-Whip for added affect. Refridgerate for at least two hours before serving.
Tip: to make this year round just omit the candy canes!
ENJOY!!
