Zero Water Review and Giveaway (CLOSED)

I know I say this all the time...but I LOVE water! There is nothing more refreshing to me on a hot day than a cold class of water, but that water has to be clean! Some people say "Water is water."  Not all water equivilant, in my opinion. Seriously, I can tell the difference between tap water, fridge water, and my purified water. I love water out of a water purifier. It tastes so much more fresh.
I found this really great water purfier company called Zero Water.

The Facts:

WHY 000?

When you buy a Zero Water filter pitcher we include a laboratory-calibrated water tester—called a TDS meter. TDS stands for Total Dissolved Solids, and represents the amount of dissolved substances in parts per million in the water we drink. These substances can negatively affect the way your water tastes.
Unlike conventional gravity-fed water filters, Zero Water’s patented 5-stage ion-exchange filter delivers the only filtered water to measure absolute 000 on the TDS meter. Compare that to the level in your tap water, even after being filtered through the leading filter pitchers.
Meter readings for tap water average between 75 and 300 and can go even higher. Conventional water filters only take out a small portion of these dissolved solids which can cause bad tastes.
With your TDS meter you can test your water yourself, and taste the difference. When. Zero Water® is the only filtered water from a pitcher that meets FDA definition for purified bottled water.* So, if it’s not all zeros, it’s not Zero Water®.
Also use your tester to monitor filter replacement: when your meter reads 006, it’s time to replace your Zero Water® filter

* Filtered potable tap water tested by an independent lab (not the FDA) to meet specifically the water quality requirements for using the label "purified". Compared to water produced by leading gravity fed filter

We have just loved our Zero Water filtration system. The boys have loved taking the the TDS meter to test the all of the different water we have in our house. It was so cool to see the difference. Really, the Zero Water filter water really shows up ZERO! But it can detect soap scum...so make sure your cups are clean! We also love how big the water pitcher is! The best option has to be the push button dispensing option. It is perfect for the kids to use!

I learned that Zero Water removes 100% of detectable dissolved solids to provide more complete filtration. It's nice to know that the water is more filtrated than conventional filters.

I learned that my pur water filter is not too much better than tap water. I am definitely thinking about switching over. The meter is exciting and sounds fun to try.

I learned that each filter removes 18,000 milligrams of dissolved solids in the water. Therefore, the more dissolved solids already in your tap water, the shorter the filter life.

I learned this (copied directly from this website- YUCK!) Even if a municipality were able to clean water to the extent that ZeroWater® does, the water can pick up chemicals on its way from the treatment plant to the faucet, which gives tap water that typical taste
