Brickle Drop Cookies

Last week at our girls night, my friend Lindsey made the yummiest cookies. I am pretty sure I ate 10 of them. She told me the recipe was right on the Heath Bits package...I love when companies share good recipes like this. So considering that I have been craving cookies lately, I made them right away...and I think I might have eaten this whole batch too!
Ingredients:

1 cup butter softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp salt
3 eggs
3 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cream of tartar
1-1/3 cups Heath bits 'o brickle toffe bits

Preheat oven to 375. Beat butter, both sugars, vanilla and salt. Add eggs. Beat well. Stir together flour, baking soda and cream of tartar. Gradually add to butter mixture, beating until blended. Stir in toffee bits.
Bake 8-10 min or until lightly browned.

Lindsay,
Hi. I am your newest follower. I am really enjoying your blog. I have always loved to bake and try lots of new baking recipes. I am seeing so many recipes that are NOT BAKING on your blog that I just have to try! Believe me, that doesn't happen very often to me! I'm excited. I must have seen at least seven or eight things so far I want to try. Crazy! My husband will love you forever!!
I must say though, your cookies looked so good! Mmmmmm!! I then looked down a bit and saw the sweet and sour chicken, pasta momma lasagna, flank steak, all kinds of potatoes, and raspberry lemonade! I am DEFINITELY going to try all of those. My husband and I have decided to not go out to eat for a month or so until we can each lose five or ten pounds (those last five pounds never come off it seems!) and now I am happy that I can make something I will love! I don't know why I never thought to make that dish, I order it whenever I go out! Please come visit my new blog if you ever get a chance, Ric Rac and Polka Dots. It is brand new, only one post so far, but I plan on having lots of really fun stuff, crafts, garden, cooking, and more. I'll probably put something up about your recipe when I make it, and I'll send you a link!
I really hope that my blog can inspire others to try new things like yours has done for me. I'm going to include directions and instructions for projects for beginners, and hopefully motivation and encouragement. Sometimes all we need is a little nudge, and off we go into a new direction that makes us very happy! I think being creative feeds the soul, and now I can feed my stomach as well! Thanks for all the great recipes, and I really hope you visit me. Leave a comment if you do, I would love to hear from you!
Thank you so much for the recipes.
Sincerely,
Julie
